Arboretum de la Presqu’île Croft
By restoring the region’s original forest through the planting of more than 2,000 tree species, the arboretum offers visitors the chance to see a kettle—a natural geological formation left behind by the melting of the glacier that once covered the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region more than 18,000 years ago. The site features a walking and biking trail, as well as a cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trail in winter. The easy-level trail is free and accessible year-round, and dogs on a leash are welcome.
