Spring break is the perfect time to enjoy quality family time in Lac-Saint-Jean! Take advantage of a wide variety of activities and events to have fun and create lasting memories. Lace up your skates, put on your snowshoes, break out your sleds, and put on your biggest smiles!
Below are some suggestions for activities to explore:
Whether you’re with family or friends, every dog-sledding outing at ferme à Minuit offers a chance to immerse yourself in the life of the pack. Outings are tailored to your group, with one guide per group. La Ferme à Minuit aims to provide you with a complete and magical dog-sledding experience.
Located in the town of Labrecque, the Massif aux 3 Lacs offers several kilometers of snowshoe and cross-country ski trails. Along these trails, you’ll find interpretive signs explaining the boreal forest and regional wildlife.
The Club Plein Air Ouiatchouan offers two snowshoe and cross-country ski rallies to explore at the Val-Jalbert Historic Village!
Take the opportunity to stroll through the streets of the Village historique de Val-Jalbert, have fun on the slides, warm up by a fire, and enjoy the treats at the general store!
At the Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien, enjoy a full program to rediscover this unique place: the Polar Bear Festival (March 2 and 3, 2024), go behind the scenes by visiting the feeding house and the veterinary clinic (March 4–8, 2024), hop aboard the minibus for an exclusive ride along the nature trails (March 5 and 6, 2024), and join us for two days (March 9 and 10, 2024) of hot chocolate and coffee before wrapping up your visit to the zoo!

On March 2, 2024, the traditional Maple Sugar Festival will take place at L’Odyssée des Bâtisseurs d’Alma. This year’s event will be especially festive, as the Isle-Maligne Centennial Committee has joined in!
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., you’ll have access to exhibits, the outdoor trail, and the lookout point on the water tower, and maple taffy will be served all day long. Starting at 10:00 a.m., the Centennial Committee’s activities begin under the theme: Isle-Maligne, from town to neighborhood, a hundred years to celebrate. Winter activities, entertainment, and the creation of an ice mosaic with IQ l’atelier are on the agenda!
The Musée ilnu de Mashteuiatsh presents a program packed with crafts and fun! From March 6, 2024, to March 10, 2024, you’ll have the chance to make your own talking stick, medicine wheel, bone bracelet, and dreamcatcher, as well as take part in a quiz and a scavenger hunt through the exhibits!

Enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities at the Lac-Saint-Jean ski resorts: Mont Lac-Vert, Club Tobo-Ski and the Centre plein air Do-Mi-Ski.

Plus, there are plenty of events to enjoy during spring break! At Club Tobo-Ski, mark your calendars for March 6, 2024, for Fest’Hiv’Air organized by graduating students from the tourism technology department at Cégep de St-Félicien.
At the Do-Mi-Ski Outdoor Center, the Festineige event is scheduled for March 2, 2024! On March 7, 2024, you can check out the snowboarding competition, and on March 8, 2024, enjoy a nighttime snowshoeing outing!
The Vauvert-sur-le-Lac-Saint-Jean Center invites you to its Ice Fishing Festival (organized by the Vauvert Recreation Club) from March 7 to 10, 2024.
At the Centre Dorval à Alma, spring break is packed with activities: skiing, snowboarding, and sledding! On March 4, we’re celebrating Halloween, and the mystery slush is back, along with Country Day (March 6, 2024), Upside-Down Day (March 8, 2024), and Superhero Day (March 11, 2024).

The Municipality of Saint-Prime offers a wide range of activities: two family shows at the Vieux-Couvent de Saint-Prime: *Bon Débarras* (March 7, 2024, at 1:30 PM and 8:00 PM) and *Atchoum* (March 8, 2021, at 1:30 PM). Have fun at the skating rink and on the ice rink, taking advantage of equipment rentals every day from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Le Boisé du Curé and Le Boisé Tanguay are open for walking and snowshoeing, as well as cross-country skiing on the golf course.
The City of Normandin invites you to enjoy the walking and snowshoeing trails at the Chute à l’Ours tourist site. Les Grands Jardins offers guaranteed family fun with a slide, an ice rink, cross-country skiing, and snow scooters.
The Municipality of Girardville invites you to have fun on the sledding hill (near the sports center) and to explore the Doucet Trail on foot or with snowshoes! You can also go ice skating, dance, play hockey, and participate in the Snow Castle Challenge!
The Municipality of Saint-Stanislas invites you to discover the Escalade Haut Clocher, climbing center. Whether you’re an expert or a beginner, the instructors will be there to guide you! Plus, enjoy the ice rink and the slide!
